Niger Delta Peace Is Shaky

MEND, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, has threatened to end a ceasefire agreement negotiated in July. Many of the militants fighting in the Niger Delta want land back from oil companies, a greater share of revenue from oil exports, and complain of environmental degradation.
